Geese Introduce Geesefest 2024, Featuring Guerilla Toss, Lip Critic, U.S. Girls and More

This December, Brooklyn-based post-punk subversives Geese will flock back to their hometown for the second annual Geesefest. After an unbelievable two years of acclaimed releases and breakneck touring, the band will touch down at Brooklyn, N.Y.’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on Dec. 5 to 7 to celebrate their ascent alongside a top-tier lineup of other alternative innovators. Geesefest 2024 will expand on the single-day program inaugurated in February 2023 that featured Been Stellar and Godcaster, welcoming an impressive roster of six longtime scene favorites and critic’s darlings like Guerilla Toss, U.S. Girls and Lip Critic to join in the band’s year-end blowout.

To kick off its second annual festival program, Geese will take the stage at Music Hall of Williamsburg on Dec. 5 after sets from electronic trio death’s dynamic shroud and the destructive, sample-heavy post-hardcore art-pop of Lip Critic. On day two, the headline band will be joined by prog-inflected jazz punks Cold Court and the synapse-frying neo-psychedelia pioneers and jam scene frequenters Guerilla Toss. For the third and final day of the series, Geese will be joined by fantasy of a broken heart–the genre-bending combo of Al Nardo and Bailey Wollowitz, known for the duo’s work with Water From Your Eyes and This Is Lorelei–and U.S. Girls, Meghan Remy’s massively acclaimed experimental pop project.

Geesefest 2024 will land in the wake of the band’s fall tour calendar, which includes 10 more opening appearances for King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard on the Australian psych-rock ensemble’s Flight b741 tour through Sept. 14, plus three appearances during Austin City Limits and a mini tour of Mexico. In the latest chapter of 3D Country, Geese’s 2023 studio album, and the massive outpouring of recognition that followed, the band released Alive & In Person in July, which collected seven highlights from a N.Y. performance in the album tour.
